FULL PAPERS

Contributors are requested to submit the manuscript of the full paper by 15th June 2005 by e-mail to nepalandslide@yahoo.com and geotech@civil.ce.nihon-u.ac.jp. Japanese delegates, and other contributors currently staying in Japan should to send a copy of their paper (s) also to miyagi@tscc.tohoku-gakuin.ac.jp. You may compress the file using the zip or winzip (.zip) format. Please include only ONE attachment per e-mail and do not send multiple copies of the same file.

Fully corrected papers should be sent by e-mail to Technical Committee by 15th August 2005. Contributors will be informed of acceptance of their submitted papers for publication in the Proceedings of the International Symposium on Landslide Hazards in Orogenic Zones, from the Himalaya to Island Arcs in Asia and for oral presentation by August 31, 2005.

PAPER PRESENTATION

English is the working language of the symposium.

Oral presentation. Time for oral presentation will be 15 minutes (12 minutes plus three for discussion). Projection equipment consists of one screen, one PC projector, one 35-mm slide projector or one overhead projector. Authors are strongly encouraged to prepare their own presentation on PowerPoint. Please provide presentation material beforehand in a 1.44 MB floppy or CD-ROM.

Poster presentation. A special slot has been scheduled with the express purpose of focusing attention on this important form of presentation. The display board comprises one panel (175 cm wide and 85 cm high). The author(s) must be present at the poster side during the poster session, and posters must be removed from display boards at the end of the day.

KEYNOTE ADDRESSES

Distinguished scientists will present some keynote addressees. The exact number of keynote addresses will be announced in due course.
