Nepal Landslide Society (NELS) works toward exchanging views, ideas and cooperation between various governmental and non-governmental organizations working in Nepal and abroad in the study of landslides, glacial lake outburst flood (GLOF), erosion, flood and so on. It carries out study and conduct research on preparing database of natural disasters, and will offer collective endeavor in geo-science, civil engineering, water-resources engineering, urban planning. NELS proposes to provide a forum for experts of the region by organizing meetings, talks, symposiums, exhibitions and training at national and international levels, and by publishing audio-visuals, posters, bulletins, books, monographs. It shares related information on the field with other national and international organizations to achieve its objective, and to formulate and implement national and international programs on reduction of natural disasters.
